If an employee is off work for 14 days, their pay will begin from the date the injury was suffered and full pay will be received. The compensation will be 66 2/3 percent of the average monthly wages. If the amount a worker receives surpasses what the maximum in the state is, the worker will receive 66 2/3 percent of the maximum.
The law states that the insurance carrier must let the claimant know whether the claim is accepted or not. A Notice of Claim Status will be sent with the initial temporary compensation check. The Notice will have the amount of wages that were calculated. There will be a Wage Calculation Sheet along with this Notice and it will detail how the figures were determined. The Industrial Commission of Arizona must be told if there is a mistake. There are 90 days for a protest regarding the accuracy of the amount to be made.
