Mr. Stevenson has been deeply involved in worker's compensation litigation since 1977. During this time he has represented the Industrial Commission of Arizona as legal counsel and then as its Chief Counsel in 1979-1980. He is familiar, on a first hand basis, with the internal procedures of the Industrial Commission and understands its role in regulating the worker's compensation system. He has also represented the State Compensation Fund (now SCF) as a staff attorney beginning in 1980. At SCF, he participated in more than one thousand worker's compensation hearings as a defense attorney representing SCE and defendant employers. In 1986, Mr. Stevenson joined the firm of Jerome, Gibson and Stewart, representing injured workers. Since that time he has participated in more than two thousand hearings representing injured workers. In 1985 he was certified as a Specialist in Workers' Compensation by the Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of Arizona. Only 38 other attorneys who represent injured workers in Arizona are Board Certified in Workers' Compensation Law.
Mr. Stevenson has dedicated his thirty plus years of experience in worker's compensation law assisting injured workers in any case involving a workplace disease or injury.
